This is an elephant, on elephant.
Wildlife Images wanted me to practice on some elephant skin for future paintings of the like so they gave me some scrap elephant to take home. It was JUST NASTY. It stunk my car up big time. I had to hang my head out of the car to get home. Gross. I prepped it as they instructed out in the garage so as to not stink up my studio. Once prepped, it no longer smelled. What I did here was look at the colors in the skin, and used only those colors in my acrylic painting. That way the skin and elephant became one, sort of ghost-like almost. This was just a little 20 minute diddy, but I think it turned out (all considering) kind of cool.
